Context
Why “what does Jira cost?” has no single answer
Four things move the amount – and none of them is printed large on the pricing page.
The team-size tiers
The price per user is not a constant. It drops in steps the more seats you book – a team of 8 pays more per head than a team of 80. That is why you cannot derive “price times users” from one number on a marketing page.
Monthly or annual
Paying annually is cheaper but ties you in. Someone paying monthly is comparing a different amount than the annual customer – and both find their number on the same pricing page.
The add-ons
Time tracking, reports, charts: with the big vendors a lot of this comes from a marketplace and is billed per user all over again. Those items sit on a separate invoice line and are missing from almost every comparison.
The second tool next to it
Customer reports from your website rarely land in the project tool itself. Most teams run an extra feedback widget for that – its own contract, its own cost, its own upkeep.
That is why this tool does not calculate with someone else's list prices, but with your own number. How IssuePilot stacks up against the individual tools feature by feature is in the comparison – including what we are missing.
Common questions
Questions about the calculator
Because any price table we stored here would be wrong within months. Jira, Asana and Monday scale their prices by team size, treat monthly and annual billing differently, bill in dollars or euros depending on the country, and change the amounts regularly. A calculator running on stale numbers is worse than none. The figure on your own invoice is always right.
