Email to task
The email becomes a task. One click, no tab switching.
The extension puts a button in the message you already have open. Subject becomes title, the link back stays attached — and you decide whether the task lands on your own board or in the team.

How do I turn an email into a task?
In IssuePilot, through an extension in your mail client: you open the message as usual, press the button and pick the target. The subject becomes the title and the link to the message comes along — the task is instantly on a personal board or in the team.
The usual route would be: read the mail, create a task in the other tab, retype the title, then find the message again later. That last step is where it falls apart — which is why the way back is fixed to the task.
It works the other way round too: tasks with a due date show up in Google Calendar, Outlook or Thunderbird through a calendar feed, without you entering them there a second time.
Four inboxes, one button
For the client you already have open.
The extensions are available in the app under Settings → Personal → My integrations — in every workspace, no detour.
Gmail in Chrome, Edge and Brave
The extension puts a button inside the open message. One click, pick the target, done — the tab stays where it is.
Gmail in Firefox
The same extension as a signed Firefox package: same button, same targets, same jump back to the message.
Outlook
Installed as an add-in. The message in front of you becomes a task — no forwarding it somewhere first.
Thunderbird
Like the others, plus the original message attached as .eml. Handy when someone later needs the exact wording.
The way back
From the task back into the email.
A task without its backstory is half a task. So every task created this way carries the link to the message: personal cards as a chip that reopens it in Gmail or Thunderbird, team tasks as a link in the description.
- The mail chip on the card reopens the original message
- On team tasks the link sits in the description
- Thunderbird also attaches the original message as .eml
- Target is yours to pick: your own board or a team task

Due dates in the calendar
Deadlines show up where you already look.
Subscribe to your personal feed URL in Google Calendar, Outlook or Thunderbird (“by URL”). The calendar pulls changes itself — every open personal task with a due date and every team task assigned to you with a due date, as all-day entries that don't block your availability.
- Works with any calendar that can subscribe by URL
- No Google sign-in, no app authorisation needed
- “Renew” invalidates the old address immediately
- Entries are transparent — they don't show you as busy

Two keys, not one
The calendar may read. Only mail may write.
The feed URL ends up on someone else's calendar servers — Google, Microsoft, wherever your calendar lives. The mail key, by contrast, may create tasks. Putting both into one key would mean a leak of one drags the other with it. So there are two, and each can be renewed or switched off on its own.

Honestly scoped
No mailbox polling, no forwarding address.
IssuePilot does not fetch mail and does not read along in your inbox. There is also no address you forward messages to so tickets appear automatically. What gets transferred is the one message you press the button on. If you need a channel that empties an entire support mailbox on its own, you need a help desk — for requests coming from your website there is the live issue widget instead.
FAQ
Questions about email and calendar.
You install the extension for your mail client and open the message as usual. The button inside the message creates a task from it — either on one of your personal boards or as a team task. The subject becomes the title, and the link to the message comes along.
The next email doesn't have to become a sticky note.
